A sustainable Valentine’s day
Here some insights to turn this consumerist celebration into something personal, memorable and wasteless
local and seasonal flowers
Ask your florist to out together a bouquet of local grown flowers. It might be difficult to find winter flowers at the shop but choosing local flowers is already better than using imported ones.
stay at home rendez-vous
Choose a homemade meal rather than a restaurant. If you have the chance, buy the ingredients at a local organic market. don't panic if you are not good at cooking, you do not need to make it difficult, a nice cheese board, a few sauces to dip some freshly baked bread and a good bottle of wine. When you use high quality ingredients, less is more! And anything made in person would be highly appreciated by your partner, especially a meal after a long day at work
words of love
A love letter, nobody writes any longer but in my opinion this needs to change! Simple, romantic and evergreen. Who gets tired of love letters?
Remember that the most sustainable way of celebrating this Valentine's day is just spending time together. Doesn't cost anything but it has the highest value…
