Wedding at Borgo di Vignamaggio
A destination wedding in the heart of Tuscany at Borgo di Vignamaggio, a 15th century location that welcomes exclusive weddings in a fairy-tale setting between frescoed living rooms, large dance halls, evocative courtyards and pergolas covered with wisteria and roses and a heated pool, with breathtaking 360-degree views across the estate.
APEROL spritz AND PIZZA party
The wedding was preceded, by a welcome event that was held in the Court and Fornace area of the Villa. The welcome dinner was typical Italian with Pizza and Spritz. Inside the fornace a pizza maker prepared delicious pizzas of various flavors in a wood oven. The couple have in fact opted for a buffet of pizzas, salads and side dishes while for desserts there was a gelato cart and pizza with nutella. A unique dessert idea for an extra Italian touch!
For the the decoration of the tables we decided to create a sophisticated and modern jet simple mise en place. The spritz theme was applied to the orange napkins as well as the little oranges’ baskets that gave some fun to the tables. A stylish countryside touch was then given by the underplate and the chairs which in this case perfectly matched the location’s vibe.
WEDDING DAY
Between a laugh and a few sips of wine to ease the tension the bride and the groom began to get ready with their love ones.
The bride and groom said their “yes” in a typical Italian church in a small town near Borgo di Vignamaggio.
To adorn the church the theme chosen was the color green also present in the bride’s bouquet. We chose to place drapes of leaves on the benches, trees at the altar and outside the church as well as leaves that were available to guests to launch at the end of the ceremony instead of the classic rice, a more sustainable, pleasant and refined alternative.
Once married the spouses left the church to return to the Villa with a vintage Fiat 500. HOW CUTE!?
Back at the villa guests were welcomed for the aperitif in the orchard with a beautiful view on the Tuscan's hills and accompanied by a musical background of a jazz band.
After the aperitif guests were invited to take a shot and then look for their escort card in order to find their seat. The escort card table was very peculiar because we decided to position the cards on carved twigs and decorate the table with olive leaves that recall the wedding theme.
The dinner took place in the Pizza of the Borgo that was lit with light bulbs to create a romantic atmosphere. Since the location was already very beautiful together with the spouses we opted for a white and green theme. The tables were decorated with greenery, candles and artichokes as well as lots of candles for that magical touch.
A sophisticated and elegant destination wedding for a fairy tale in the beautiful hills of Tuscany.
