Mike & Veronika Wedding at La Pescaia Resort
DREAMY WEDDING IN TUSCANY
Mike and Veronika decided to celebrate their long wedding weekend at la Pescaia Resort in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, an Elegant example of nineteenth-century Villa-Farm, one of the few remaining in the area. A paradise protected by over six thousand ancient olive trees, pristine forests as well as walking hidden paths for lovers and horseback riding.
WELCOME EVENT
The celebration started on Friday with a welcome dinner, a way of greeting guests for the wedding celebrations to come. The event took place in the charming area that was once designated to the stables of la Pescaia Resort.
Together We decided to decorate tables with aromatic herbs, candles and fresh vegetables to get the Italian country style.
We also opted for a band of local musicians that guided the guests to the dinner area and continued playing during dinner to entertain and create a nice atmosphere.
The dinner was a buffet with typical Italian dishes such as Caprese salad, Pasta with pesto and ragù and many seasonal vegetables and so much more.
After dinner they danced the night off before the wedding day.
THE WEDDING DAY
Then the big day finally arrived for Mike and Veronika. The morning of the wedding everyone could breathe a happy atmosphere that preceded the event. Guests hung out by the pool while Veronika started getting ready with her bridesmaid as well as Mike with his groomsmen.
They opted for a magnificent church: the Cattedrale di San Cerbone.
Mike and Veronika said Yes to each other in a Romanesque cathedral built between the XI and XIV centuries that, for the occasion, was decorated with white candles along the aisle and olive trees.
The ceremony was accompanied with a soprano and a quartet that made the ceremony even more emotional. After the ceremony they made their exit with a beautiful vintage car.
When they, as well as all the guests, went back at La Pescaia Resort the aperitif was ready to be served. They had a lovely time eating canapes and sipping nice drinks while listening to some live singing. Veronika's aunt also performed one song at the piano for the bride and the groom, a very special moment.
Once everyone enjoyed their aperitif it was time for dinner at the back facade of the villa next to the garden. The table was underneath a tunnel of string lights that created a very romantic and charming atmosphere.
For dinner thay had a fagottino with burrata and tomato filling on a light zucchini pesto with fried basil leaves, handmade black ravioli with sea bass filling with slow cooked fish ragù and beef filet with Brunello di Montalcino red wine reduction with spinach and potato flan with glazed cherry tomatoes. Everybody enjoyed this delicious dinner while listening to some very emotional speeches by family and friends.
Then it was time for the amazing three tears meringue cake with mixed berries that Mike and Veronika cutted in front of everybody in the garden right outside the dancing area. The cake was heaven..
After the cake everybody was ready for some dance moves so the DJ started playing and the after party began. During the party the bridesmaid organized a very fun show for the newlyweds, singing a song written by them and dancing with a funny choreography, for sure a nice memory to keep. The party went on until late at night and everybody had a lot of fun.
The perfect way to end the wedding weekend on sunday was with a tasty brunch and pool party with a DJ playing in the background. A nice way to say thank you and goodbye to everybody and to have some extra fun before the end of this amazing weekend.
What a wonderful weekend in Tuscany!
